Masinga Boys’ High School was founded in 1968 in the present Masinga Primary School grounds as a Harambee mixed day school.It was moved to the present Ground and taken over by the Government of kenya in the year 1970 then converted to all boys school. This school is situated 26 kilometres from Matuu market and 7 kilometres from Kaewa market. In the early 1980s’, the school had a population of over 700 students but this enrollment fluactuated over the years especially since the start of the CDF schools. Recently, the school population has started to increase steadly partly because of good discipline, performance and government policy of 100% transition from primary to secondary education.
By the Grace of God Masinga Boys School is one of the Best Extra County schools in Machakos County. Recently it was ranked among the top ten Best Extra county schools in Machakos by educationnewshub.co.ke
